Senior Portraits

Celebrate who they are today. Preserve this remarkable milestone with portraits that your family will treasure for generations. Every image is thoughtfully created to reflect their personality, achievements, and the exciting journey that lies ahead.

More Than a Senior Portrait

Graduation is more than the end of high school. It is a meaningful transition that marks the close of one chapter and the beginning of another. For seniors, it is a time to celebrate who they have become. For parents, it is an opportunity to preserve memories of a season that passes far more quickly than anyone expects.

At Walnut Photography, we believe senior portraits should reflect more than appearance. We take the time to get to know each senior, creating portraits that capture their personality, confidence, and character in a way that feels natural and authentic. The result is a collection of portraits that tells the story of this remarkable milestone and becomes something your family will treasure for years to come.

FEATURED SENIOR PORTRAITS

  • There's no strict limit, but two to four outfits is ideal for most sessions. This provides a great variety of portraits without taking too much time away from photographing. I recommend prioritizing your favorite outfits so we capture the most important looks first. Choose clothing that makes you feel confident and comfortable, and consider bringing a mix of casual and dressier outfits that reflect your personality.

  • Most senior portrait sessions last up to two hours, giving us time for multiple locations, wardrobe changes, and a relaxed pace. Rather than watching the clock, I focus on creating a comfortable experience and capturing a variety of portraits you'll be proud to share and display.

  • Every portrait session begins with choosing a location that complements your personality and style. Whether you envision an urban setting, a scenic park, a quiet nature preserve, a downtown streetscape, or a meaningful location unique to your story, we'll work together to find the perfect backdrop. If you're not sure where to begin, I'm happy to recommend locations that photograph beautifully throughout the year.

  • I closely monitor the forecast leading up to your session. If the weather isn't cooperating, we'll work together to choose a new date so you receive the best possible experience and portraits.

  • That's completely normal. Most people feel a little nervous at first, and very few have experience in front of a professional camera. I'll guide you every step of the way, helping you feel comfortable and confident while creating natural portraits that reflect your personality.

  • Absolutely. Parents are always welcome and are encouraged to be part of the experience. Friends are welcome too, but I recommend bringing only one or two people who will encourage you, help you relax, and keep the focus on creating great portraits.

  • Absolutely. I encourage you to bring meaningful items that reflect your interests, hobbies, and personality. Whether it's sports equipment, a musical instrument, books, a classic car, your pet, or something uniquely your own, these personal touches help create portraits that tell your story.

  • Absolutely. I offer a variety of professional products, including prints, wall art, albums, and digital collections. Digital collections include a print release, giving you the flexibility to create additional prints through the lab of your choice.

  • Your private online gallery is typically ready within two to three weeks after your session. Every portrait is individually reviewed and carefully edited to ensure you receive a collection you'll be proud to enjoy for years to come.
